Ownership of Swords and Edged Weapons in Australia
In Victoria, prior to purchasing a sword or edged weapon, you are required to hold a
Chief Commissioner's Approval for Prohibited Weapons.
This Licence currently costs around $165.00 (for 3 years)
Alternatively, membership of an approved knife club or re-enactment group may be sufficient.
Proof of membership will be required before dispatching swords to a Victorian address.
There are no specific sword laws in other Australian states.
